When the 2015 murder of nine African-American churchgoers in Charleston, South Carolina sparks a national reckoning over the meaning of the Confederate flag, battle lines are drawn in Mississippi to determine the fate of the last state flag to feature the most potent and divisive symbol of our fractured history.
