Love in Moreno Valley
Straight out of MoVal, a diverse California neighborhood, James plays guitar in his room and hides from his emotionally disturbed single father, whose fantasy baseball fixation and romantic life make him unpleasant. Once tenth year begins at Vista Christian High School, James is reunited with his unusual closest buddy, Abe, a wildchild whose antics attract a great deal of negative attention to both he and James, much to the anger of their peculiar, strict administrator, Mr. Durante. Meanwhile, James is busy with impressing a lovely Latina called Carla, only to discover that Abe's outlandish actions are jeopardizing his efforts. The duo's situation only worsens when Principal Durante punishes them by requiring them to conduct the weekly chapel assembly.
