Pelle the Conqueror
The 19th century's conclusion. A boat filled with Swedish emigrants concerns the island of Bornholm. Are Lasse and his son Pelle who move to find work. They find employment at a big farm, but are treated as the lowest form of life. Pelle starts to speak Danish but continues to be harassed as a foreigner. But not one of them really wants to give up their dream of getting a much better life .
