Blood in the Water

Percy and Veronica have been housesitting a gorgeous modern mansion in the Hollywood Hills for the summer, but the real world of New York, jobs, and young professional problems is only a few days away. They are rushing to depart this paradise, though, because the calm has been disturbed by an unwanted visit from their college classmate Freedgood. Since their liberal arts years, his life has been defined by imprisonment, dubious business relationships, and drug dealing. And, as we rapidly discover, this has resulted in the man's demise, an intrigued LAPD investigator, and a yearning for the everyday conflict that appears so much more appealing than remaining in their fictitious Eden.
