Hang Time
The much-loved grapevines of Marlborough take center stage in this short comedy film that was shot over the course of 11 days at a local winery. A couple of days before they were supposed to get married at a vineyard, Harry, a young man in his twenties played by Hayden J. Weal from the show Chronesthesia, was rejected by his fiancée. In an effort to cheer Harry up, two of his pals make sure none of the wine is wasted while they are with him. Casey Zilbert penned the screenplay and directed the movie, which was inspired by the classic Ernest Hemingway novel Fiesta (also known as The Sun Also Rises), which is about inebriated expats living in Europe. The film Hang Time is Zilbert's debut feature; during her time at the university, she majored in fiesta and wine science.
