Mary and Max

A tale of friendship between two improbable pen pals: Mary, also a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne, a forty-four-year older, and Max , severely obese man surviving in the big apple. From the mid-1970's, a homely, friendless girl writes to him and of 8 picks a name out of a Manhattan phonebook. She's a chocolate bar. He writes , with chocolate. Thus begins a 20-year correspondence. Can the two ever meet face to face?
