Meat the Future
The documentary Meat the Future takes the audience into a world troubled by the effects of contemporary industrial animal agribusiness and then focuses on a narrative with an eye toward resolving these issues. The 90-minute character-driven documentary investigates the arrival of real meat without the need to produce or butcher animals, revealing hurdles and breakthroughs and raising a plethora of concerns about the future. Over the course of three years, Beef: The Future follows the development of a controversial new food industry: "cell-based," "clean," and "cultured" meat.
