Nothing Like the Sun

In the mid-twentieth century, Alice Mitchell functions as a prostitute on the street. After her circumstance aggravates, she unsuccessfully attempts to integrate with her estranged family over her homosexuality. She nestles at a Christian household as well as wins them over by falsely embracing their confidence, despite opposition from their in-law, Lillian. While there, Alice's infatuation with the family members's daughter, Annabel, grows. After Lillian exposes Alice's homosexuality, Alice redoubles her initiatives to free herself of it fruitless as she succumbs to a connection with Annabel. Their connection is uncovered.
