Fatherless barrio Puerto Rican Rico is a menial car mechanic by day, but lives for the nighttime, when he dates and succeeds hot dancing girls, cockily convinced Salsa king's name . He promotes courteous gentleman Ken, his best friend , so far his sister Margarita so he gets a free hand with her class-mate Lola. The reigning salsa queen Luna's fascination with Rico because dance-partner threatens his on-off relationship . When Ken and Margarita fall in true love more covetous trouble follows.
