Strangled

Based on true events, this psychological thriller is set in 1960s rural Hungary, when a series of heinous killings shock the little town of Martfü. A crazed killer is on the loose, slaughtering young ladies as an innocent man is wrongfully charged and punished for crimes he could not have done. A tenacious detective arrives on the scene and quickly gets obsessed with the case, despite the prosecutor's urge to see a man hang. Stuck in socialist Hungary's claustrophobic social, political, and psychological realm, we quickly become entangled in a web of sophisticated conspiracies and terrifying drama.
