Convoy
Convoy is actually a 13-episode American television show place during World War II that appeared on NBC for its 1965--1966 television season.
The series starred John Gavin as Commander Dan Talbot of this US Navy destroyer escort"DD181" along with John Larch as civilian merchant Captain Ben Foster of the cargo ship"Flagship", who were engaged with the convoy ships and their escorts that help transport food, supplies and war materials to the other side of the Atlantic throughout the Battle of the Atlantic. The show also featured Linden Chiles as Steve Kirk and James T. Callahan, before ABC's Wendy and Me Sit Com, at the role of Lieutenant O'Connell. One of the guest stars were Harold Gould, Jack Palance, Barbara Rush, James Doohan, Leslie Nielsen, Horst Ebersberg, Dennis Hopper, along with Jeremy Slate.
Convoy was clearly one of the NBC show in white and black. The use of stock footage made color hopeless. As a result, several NBC affiliates refused to clear that the app, which consequently did not scale out of the'bottom 10' in the Nielsen ratings. This program was released on September 17, 1965, and the final episode aired on December 10.
