Macross Plus
Macross Plus is a four-part OVA and theatrical film in the Macross franchise. In the official timeline, it was the first sequel to the original Macross television series. Plus was a revolutionary blend of traditional cel and computer-generated animation at the time of its debut, paving the way for more computer-generated imagery in Japanese Animation. Bandai Visual in Japan and Manga Entertainment in North America and Europe distributed the OVA series and film, respectively. The VHS version was distributed by Manga Entertainment while the DVD version was distributed by Madman Entertainment under sublicense from Manga Entertainment. It includes a number of new mecha designs influenced by the original series.
