The Odd Couple
The Odd Couple can be a tv situation comedy broadcast from September 2-4, 1970 to March 7, 1975 on ABC. It stars Tony Randall as Felix Unger and Jack Klugman and has been the first of many. The show is based upon the drama of the same name, which has been compiled by Neil Simon.
Felix and Oscar are just two screened guys. Felix is tidy and neat while Oscar is casual and sloppy. They share a Manhattan apartment, and their different life styles inevitably cause conflicts and laughs.
In 1997the episodes"Password" and"The Fat Farm" were ranked number 5 and #5-8 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time. Three nominations were got by the show for Outstanding Comedy Series. Its fourth summer, from 1973--74, remains probably the most recent nominee for a show that aired within a Friday time slot.
